There are two types of accommodation for you to choose
from – Private and University. If you decide on University
accommodation then you will usually end up in halls of residence
that typically consists of rows of flats where you share amenities
with other students. In private accommodation you can choose to
live in a shared house or one bedroom flat/studio if you want to
live alone.
Important points about accommodation:
The British
Embassy will require details of your
accommodation
during the duration of your studies.
Unidirectory
ensures that accommodation is arranged and details sent out to you.
Our objective
is to place you in good value accommodation for the average student.
Female students
will be placed in with other female students.
University
accommodation and shared Private
accommodation are similar in value. One-bedroom flats or
studios will be a little more expensive.
Living expenses
and accommodation cost varies throughout the country.
If you are
sponsored then you will need to show your sponsor letter on arrival.
If you are travelling with dependents then you must state this
in the Accommodation section of the on-line application form and
the number of rooms you require.
