IELTS – International English Language Test System

If you have already studied through the medium of English then you may not need to take these tests. For IELTS testing you have the following options:
Universities in the UK provide English courses that start any
time and for any length of time.
The British Council within your country run courses that are
geared towards achieving your required IELTS score.
Foundation
The International Foundation course is for students who have academic qualifications that fall below British Honours degree entry requirements. This course lasts for one year only. The International Foundation course is available in many subjects:
Business
English Language and Culture
Computing
Law
Engineering
There are many more subjects covered too. If you want to apply for a British Honours degree then you may be asked to complete a Foundation course depending on your academic qualifications. Foundation courses generally start in September/October, though some start in January.
